I thought I'd introduce myself since I just submitted an application. I'm Bryce, a Business Marketing major and French minor student at University of Utah. I've been flightsimming for a couple years now, but never combat sims- mostly commercial and GA stuff on VATSIM, where I also control in an ARTCC. I've been looking for a vSquadron who is open to training someone, not from the ground up- but close. I'm new to DCS and the A-10C. I'm able to do the very basic stuff. I look forward to (attempting) to fly with y'all in the coming week and hopefully longer if I get accepted.

What times are you usually available to fly? I would be happy to fly with you sometime and maybe help you out with some basics. Which aircraft are you most interested in?

I'm normally on between 9-12pm est during the week. I am by no means an A10 God but I am starting to get a little better at it. Feel free to hit me up with questions or to just loiter around and shoot at stuff when you are on.

I'm learning the A-10 as well and trying to catch up to the learning curve. The group here with the 99th range all different skill sets and expertise. I mean they tolerate me and my flights typically resemble a Rihanna and Chris Brown car ride. Ask questions and someone will help or point you in a direction that helps.

No worries. I will make sure my 1.5 client is up to date. Is there anything in particular you would like to work on? My expertise in the A-10C (I am assuming this is the aircraft you want to focus on, correct me if I'm wrong) is more based on procedures, but I do know how to employ the most common weapons. So if you want to go over something which I am familiar with I'd be happy to help.

I can fly the plane, that's pretty much it. Start it, take off, hand-fly around, and land. Everything else is beyond me. So whatever you think I should know before being accepted (if I am) would be good.

Anyone who wants to do a chill A-10C cross country tonight feel free to attend. We will probably do the flight on the virtual aerobatics server (so we don't get shot at) and use the training channel on teamspeak for comms.
