Operation Datwi Shield 1: ArmA Briefing #9444
Deployment: January 19th, 2020 23:30 Zulu

Short:
An eight-man team from Intelligence Support Activity (ISA) will perform an aquatic insertion south of Sochi in order to tap into communication relays.

Long:

Satellite images show the current terminal locations and the surroundings of the terminal panels for the pipelines being set up, we have also placed city map markings of the locations of the terminals, power substation, and the dock with the weapon shipments.

We will be sending in an eight-man team from the ISA to handle this operation.

The Russians are currently using a “Nighttime Emergency Response” training as a cover for why a bunch of military vehicles are moving in and out of docks. With this, there is a larger than normal presence of Russian forces in the area, including long range SAM sites as well as SHORADs. So, there will be no air support. Civilian presence is minimal as Russian forces have people indoors while they perform this “training operation”, but still check your targets before engaging.

Current images also show that there are primarily only soft targets in the area. A few MRAPS and small infantry patrols. The majority of the training exercise is happening outside of the city, so don’t stray too far out of Sochi city limits.

Due to the clandestine nature of this operation, all operators will be equipped with Russian made weapons and wearing local gear. Because of the current situation, it will be easy to downplay this as the work of the Georgian military or local opposition as opposed to US forces.

Rules of Engagement: Because there is still a chance this could turn into an international disaster, we want to limit the amount of protentional conflict. So only engage when fired upon, but if enemy forces are standing in the way of one of the objectives, you are cleared to engage. Watch for civilian casualties.
