With the total defeat of Syrian troops after their assault on Lebanon and Israel, the remnants of the Syrian Military have fallen back to their Stronghold at Damascus. It is time to put this conflict to an end.

======== SERVER RULES ========
1) NO NUKES unless specifically allowed in the mission breifing. Violating this rule will likely get you banned outright.

2) No Cheating. This includes loadouts that are not possible with a stock DCS installation but can also consitute any modification or exploit which is not in keeping with the spirit of fair competition.

3) No Taxiway takeoffs.

4) Watch for traffic on the runway and taxiways. If you have opposing traffic on the same runway/taxiway, keep to the right side to deconflict.

5) No teamkilling (admins may kick/ban at their discretion, SLMOD will kick/ban repeat offenders automatically).
Watch your language. Excessive swearing and hostility will not be tolerated.

6) Coordinate your ATC whenever possible to deconflict and avoid a collision. Teamspeak is recommended, in-game chat is a bare minimum.

7) Do not use TacCom to send vehicles to opposing forces spawns.

This list isn't exhaustive. Any admin for any reason can ask you to stop whatever it is your doing. Failure to comply will get you kicked. Repeated issues with the same player will get you banned. You don't know who the admins are. Anyone with an F99th tag could be an admin. Be professional and mature to all pilots on the server.

BLUE TASKING

This is the enemy's last stronghold. We expect a massive presence of anti air systems, bring HARMs! The enemy is making use of an Integrated Air Defense System (IADS). They have a vast network of early warning radars coordinating the attacks of their SAM Sites. Several Command Centers coordinate their fire, located near the Palace, the 158 Brigade HQ and Qabr as Sitt.

Additional logistic helis (MI8/UH1) on Mezzeh are unlocked once the airbase is captured. You'll have to build a FOB on there yourself though.

In addition to that, intel suggests they are powered by a total of six power plants. They are little breeder reactors located in civilian factory buildings. Their exact location is unknown, but since the reactors are identical across the board, we suspect their cooling towers to look the same also. Your briefing contains a picture of such a building.

Destroying the Power Plants will disable their Early Warning Network entirely. You can take the coordination out of their air defense by hitting the three command bunkers. Bring a penetrator, satellite images suggest a hardened concrete entrance on the corresponding locations.

### Make sure you protect our installations at Rayak! We have good SAM cover, but you never know what the reds might come up with! ###

1) Secure the area round the presidential palace and secure it with a detachment of infantry or mechanized troops. Clear the way for our helicopters! Try to avoid collateral damage as much as possible - the palace is overlooking a residential area and intelligence suggests there still might be civilian servants on the palace grounds.

2) Secure Mezzeh Airfield, just south-west of the palace. Doing this should prevent them from sending helicopters that harass our ground forces.

3) The 158th Tank Brigade has fallen back to their base. Their T-90s inflicted serious losses on our tank elements - make sure it does not happen again. Secure the grounds with friendly infantry or armor elements once the area has been sanitized.

4) Intelligence Data has shown that the regime is running an Uranium Enrichment Facility in the northern part of the city. Destroying it will diminish any hope they had in building a nuclear device as a last resort. The uranium is stored in an underground vault that is designed to survive the impact of nuclear warheads - so don't worry about environmental effects. We'll dispatch a SpecOps Team to secure the Uranium once you cleared the compound.

5) Level the Marj as Sultan Helicopter base. Their Hinds have inflicted heavy losses on our mechanized infantry battallions throughout the fightings. Make them pay for it! Their Hinds use an experimental gun that seems to develop less temperature while firing, while being more stable in aiming. Secure the Facility with friendly troops so we can salvage one and reverse-engineer it.

6) Damascus Airfield The heart of the swarm. Secure this heavily fortified airbase to finish off what is left of their air force. Capturing this should lower the morale to a degree where they won't even bother taking off.

7) Marj Ruhayyil Airbase - Level this bomber base. Their Su-24s have killed a lot of innocent people in their carpet bombing runs over Lebanon. Reports of a new jamming technology came in from our pilots trying to intercept these bombers - securing this site will give us a chance to take a closer look at them. Some Infantry or Tanks should do the job.

8) Army Reserve Depot The 165th Brigade still hoards a load of BMP-2 IFVs and T-55 Tanks. Finish them off to disable the rest of their mechanized infantry capabilities.

9) Qabr as Sitt - This "Runway" is way too short - seems like they ran out of concrete. Capture it, so we can turn it into a proper airbase.

Army command has given us clearance to deploy Linebackers, Strykers and MLRS. Use them wisely! Good luck soldiers!

All aircraft should have named waypoints, follow them to your targets. Most of them will need to be captured, so put some units in there after you cleared it out.

2 -> Mezzeh AB -> Capture
3 -> 158th Brigade HQ -> Capture
4 -> Uranium Facility -> Obliterate
5 -> Marj as Sultan Helicopter Base -> Capture (Kill Static Helis too!)
6 -> Damascus INTL -> Capture
7 -> Marj Ruhayyill AB -> Capture
8 -> Army Depot -> Obliterate
9 -> Qabr as Sitt -> Capture

KA-50s have a different flight plan since they start at the FARP. Use your ABRIS to find the next location, and coordinate with your CAP/CAS Flights on Teamspeak or SRS!

RED TASKING

It seems the enemy high command is getting a little ambitious - most command and logistic units are stationed at Rayak airfield. While protected, it is positioned pretty badly, we can take the initiative and destroy everything in that area. That will force them to retreat!

While you're at it, be sure to make it as hard for Blue as you can. Bolster the defenses by hauling units and ensure they won't harm our syrian allies! Our russian allies have supplied us with T-80 Tanks and SA-13 Strela 10s. Placing them strategically could give us the advantage we need.
