Same here. Finally something to be more or less on par with the MiG 21. A tad more advanced yeah, and I was hoping for an F-4, but it will do very nicely, for the moment.

Oh, it'll beat the crap out of the Fishbed. Look-down radar, fly-by-wire, a HUD that isn't a second cousin of the first gyro sights they used in WWII.. In terms of capabilities it's not going to be a contest at all. In that arena you're probably looking for a Mirage III, which would also make a hell of an addition to the DCS lineup and I would buy in a heartbeat.

But in terms of detailed modelling, yeah the M-2000 is going to be an awesome MiG-21 contemporary. Super excited for it to come out.

Now that really would be the classic and ideal combination for some Arab vs. Israel scenario MP missions, but seems too much to hope for too soon with what we are getting used to from DCS / 3rd party devs*. Also need the '60s Suez map for that, for 100% fidelity environment! It would all be too cool.

Can only hope that Razbam make a success of the Mirage 2000 and get a taste for converting to DCS modules...
